Can you believe it's already November 8th? It seems like just yesterday we were celebrating the new year and what it would bring and it seems like you blink and here we are racing towards the end of another year.
Work has been crazy for the both of us. Ian is being moved to work from home in the next couple of weeks. Tammy's job has been crazy busy which is good as it definitely helps the time fly by. However that doesn't meant I am not looking forward to the coming weeks as it usually slows down a little around the holidays. Hopefully that will allow us to catch up and get our queue back under control.
We don't have a lot of plans for Thanksgiving as Tammy is working on "Black Friday" to get some nice pay and Ian also submitting himself but it doesn't mean he will be recruited to work it. He will at least get to do it from home if he is requested to so that is a plus. Then next thing we know it will be the following Thursday and it will be time for us to head to Galveston to go catch our boat on the 4th of December. We are very excited and can't wait to have a week to decompress.
That pretty much sums up all we are going through right now. It's not much of an update but I am trying to post once a week again. So stay tuned.

I'm Back!!
I know it has been a while since we have posted in here because we had joined Facebook. So I wasn't keeping up with both and pretty much stuck with updates via Facebook. We have recently disabled our Facebook account because it was becoming distracting to Tammy at work. I would see the blue light on my phone indicating an update and that caused my productivity to take a bit of a nose dive. So I made the decision to unplug from Facebook and make a weekly update via our blog.
I do miss Facebook because it allowed me to stay connected to the family and see how my adorable nieces and nephews are. We might go back one day but for now to help me achieve my goal in getting promoted at work it will have to take a backseat.
So here is what is happening in the land of us. We are going on a cruise with "Mama and Papa Faas" in just a few short weeks. We leave on December 4th and return on December 11th. It's on the Disney Wonder and we are excited to be back on her. She is a wonderful ship with a fantastic crew. This will be our second time on her and we are excited to show the magic of a Disney cruise with Mama and Papa Faas.
We only have one excursion booked which is in Key West. We are going to take the adult only trolley tour of the city. Ian and I want to hit up the bamboo shop there to see about some sheets as they are freaking amazing. We also have to get a key lime pie on a stick covered in chocolate. We had this last time and it was amazing. So delicious!
We are going to just relax on the adult only beach at Castaway and soak in some sun to recharge our batteries. Then in Nassau we are going to stay on the ship and spend some time at the pool with a good book and some drink of the days. It should be a fun cruise that is just what we need.
Ian and I have also signed up for a new 5k at Disney World in April. It's a "Star Wars" themed run and it will be through Epcot bright and early at 6 AM. So a completely different experience than the "Expedition Everest" one a few years ago. We will fly into Orlando on Thursday the 14th and stay through the following Thursday which is the 21st. We haven't booked our vacation package yet because we are waiting to see what discounts come out in December for this time of year. I know the "Flower and Garden" festival will be going on which is really neat to see at Epcot. We plan on having a few resort days where we spend time at Downtown Disney at night and relax by the pool during the day. We also plan on hitting up the four parks at least once each. It will all depend on what the deals are for our time frame.
So that pretty much sums up our lives for right now. We are working and counting down the days until the cruise. Tick...Tock...

Holy cow an update!!!
There has been so much going on in our lives so I haven't posted an update for months now. I do apologize about that but I do have a ton to share with my faithful readers that I have still.
First, my baby sister Misty was married in a beautiful ceremony almost a month ago now. The ceremony was beautiful and it turned out great. I have a few pictures I will share with my readers at the end of the post.
Second, Ian and I were working up at AT&T now as chat specialist for the tech department. The Wed after my baby sister's wedding we both got really sick. We were running fever of 103, vomiting among other things. As the job was still so new we didn't have insurance kick in yet so we couldn't go to the dr. We both couldn't keep anything down, not even water. Lets just say it was a miserable few days. We finally were able to fill halfway decent by Sunday.
We got up to go to work, thinking we were both going to be fired because during training you can't miss more than a day and we missed three. So we were called in to the director's office and I was let go but Ian got to stay because he had tenure from when he worked at cingular so he had more points he could receive before being let go. So needless to say we have been hurting financially. It's been a rough few weeks.
I got back in the job search right away and got numerous interview requests but nothing was resulting from them. I registered with numerous temp agencies hoping they would get me something but no luck.
But that luck has quickly turned around. I had job interviews at Dell and Gamefly last week. Gamefly offered me a position last Friday and today I got an offer with Dell. The Dell position pays nearly $3.00 more per hour than the Gamefly and has far more opportunities for me to grow than Gamefly so I have decided to accept Dell.
So on May 12th, I will be in training for 6-8 weeks learning to be a techie and I am looking forward to it. I will be making almost as much at Blizzard when that position ended. That is just crazy to me. Plus at Dell they get 2 bonus's a year of 2 percent of what you make a year so that will be some nice bonus money. We will be socking some back once we repay some people for their help after we are caught up. That way if anything were to ever happen again we have money set aside to help just in case. It has sucked not having a cushion like we should.
Ian will be on my insurance because at Dell it will kick in immediately where AT&T it won't start until August. I think in a way this was a blessing too because with us being at different companies if they were ever to do layoffs like at Blizzard we won't both be impacted. So that is a huge plus.
So wish me luck as I start this new endeavor. It will be scary but awesome at the same time.
Now for some pictures from my sisters wedding.

Grill and Sweetpea pictures
Happy early birthday and christmas to us
As many of you know we had a horrible wind storm back in March or April. I can't remember when now. But our gas grill went flying. So needless to say we don't trust it anymore and don't want to take a chance with using it. So we needed a gas grill to replace it. We went out window shopping to get an idea on pricing as it's coming to summer time and we like to grill to keep the heat down in the house from the oven.
We found a really nice one we liked at WalMart. It's a charbroil infared one with three burners. It wasn't too badly priced but it would take us until July to have enough for it due to other bills needing to be paid, such as the roof repair.
Ian's parents offered to buy it for us for an early birthday/christmas present which was very nice of them. So we went back and got it. Ian spent quite a bit of time putting it together and we will be grilling our first turkey burgers on it tonight for dinner. I promise to take pictures and will post them later. =)
A big thank you to them for that!!!!
