Paint, Cabinets and Brick..oh my...

We went by the homestead today. After stopping in at the sales office and picking up a key to the house, we were able to break in and see all the new stuff they had been working on. We have the brick work on the outside completed. They have painted the interior walls. We have cabinets up, as well as the closet hardware. Ok, time for the pictures since those speak louder than words..

Sheetrock and a Sold sign

I love our Friday journey's to the homestead because generally we have given it about 3 days since the last visit and have so much new stuff to see and explore. We got there and the sheetrock people were still there. So we decided to head over to Chili's in Georgetown and grab a bite to eat. By the time we got back, they were still there but, were finishing up so we got to peek in. I loved driving up and seeing a sold sign in our front yard. Wow......it makes it seem all the more real. To actually have room defining walls up now too puts everything in a new perspective. Tomorrow is my birthday, so we are going to head up to 620 cafe for a bite to eat, and then on to Sears to see what happened with the tire while I was at my sisters. My parents are coming up on Sunday for a quick visit for my birthday so they will get to see the homestead finally as well. Other than that, hoping for it to be a pretty mellow and relaxing weekend. On with the pictures.

Driveway poured and insulation started!!

We went by the home today, and they have poured the driveway/walkway to the front door/and the sidewalk. They have begun to put in the insulation in as well. Not much else to say, so I will just add the pictures.

House update!!

Well after getting a lot of rest yesterday I feel so much better today. My fever is gone completely. Now if I could just get rid of my stuffy head, and cough, I will be 100 percent better again. Ian and I crashed early last night around 9:30 and ended up waking up at 5:30 this morning. So, we got up and did a few things around the house and then headed out to Cracker Barrel for a yummy home cooked breakfast. After we were nice and full we headed out to the homestead to see if anything else had been done and there were a few things. They have where our driveway, sidewalks, and walkway to the frontdoor framed out and ready for the concrete to be poured. The Master bath tub/ shower stall, and guest bath tub installed and filled with water to make sure there were no leaks and they would hold water. Sheetrock is there waiting to be installed as well. I know Ian makes fun of me for saying it, but hot dog, it sure is looking like a home we will be living in more and more. We even had a long discussion about where I will set up my computer system and we are going to make the sitting room in the master suite, the computer area/game room for us. When Ian does end up going back to Dell to work instead of working from home, whenever that may be, we are going to make the office a hobby room/ seperate guest room for when we have multiple out of town guests, or if my sister comes down with both kids, she can set the kids up in a room and have a room for her and Rod, etc....I'm so excited. I never thought I would be this anxious to be a hostess but I am. I am going to upload some of the pictures we got now. So be sure to check those out.

shingles and electrical stuff

We made our Friday night drive out to the property to see what had been done. The shingles are all on our roof. They have all the electrical outlets ran, the wiring fo the elecrtical is done. Nothing is connected to the main lines yet. We were able to see where we will have outlets in every room pretty much. As well as where the cable/phone, etc will be. Enough jabbering, on with the pictures.

Our breaker box that is located in the Garage

Even though it doesn't look like it the shingles are on. The sun was already setting while we were out there. I will get a better one on Sunday.

That is all I am going to put in the blog. I will be sending the rest via shutterfly.
